Around four weeks before Christmas, the squares and alleyways around Aachen Cathedral and the town hall are transformed into a Christmas village. The glittering lights, the smell of mulled wine and Printen everywhere - and all this in an extraordinary atmosphere! It is not for nothing that Aachen's Christmas market - formerly known as the Printenmarkt - has regularly been voted one of the top 10 European Best Christmas Markets in recent years.
